  • Barot valley is situated 40 km from Jogindernagar and 66 km from Mandi district. There is also the use of functional trolleys from Jogindernagar to Barot valley which reduced the distance up to 12 km. The rode route to reach at this place is just amazing because of terraced fields and thick cedar forests rising to Jhatingri at the hilltop.

  • This place  is a small fishing town, popularly known for trout fishing. Its situated right at the end  of a valley and is surrounded by lush green mountains. This place is also settled on the banks of river UHL.

How to reach Barot valley:

By Air: To reach at this place the nearest airport Gaggal Airport in Kangra.  From Airport you will need to reach at Mandi Town First and buses are frequently available till Main Mandi Bus Station which is 40 km away from Barot. From Mandi  bus station you can hire your private vehicle to reach at Barot.

By Railways: To reach here by railways the nearest railway station is in Jogindernagar which is narrow gauge railway network that connects Jogindernagar to Pathankot. You can reach to Pathankot easily by well established railway network.

By Road: To reach here by Road this place is well connected by public buses to Mandi, Jogindrnagar and Palampur.

Accommodation Facilities in Barot Valley: This place doesn’t have great accommodation facilities but the locals of the village provide neat and comfortable lodging facilities in their homes. Here you will get rest houses and hotels in cheaper reates.
