Chota Char Dham Yatra is very popular for Hindus in indian Himalayas and is located in the Garhwal region of Uttarakhand state in India. Kedarnath, Badrinath, Gangotri and Yamunotri are the pilgrimage sites that completes your Chota Char Dham Yatra. Lot of pilgrims visit these sites.

Kedarnath: Kedarnath is  the popular Hindu shrine located in Garhwal, Himalayan range near Mandakini River, tributary of Ganga in Kedarnath, Uttarakhand, India. The distance of Kedarnath is 223 km from Rishikesh, Uttarakhand. This temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva.

Badrinath: Badrinath Temple is a Hindu temple in Uttarakhand. This temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu Ji. This temple is located in Gharwal hills in Chamoli district along with the banks of Alaknanda river. The distance of Badrinath from Rishikesh is 138 km.

Gangotri : This temple is very popular Hindu pilgrimage sites in Uttarakhand and is located on the banks of Bagirathi River from where river Ganga  originates  in Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand state, India. In this pilgrimage site River Ganga is worshiped as Goddess in India and this temple was built in 18th century. The distance of Gangotri from Rishikesh is 119 km.

Yamunotri: This temple is also situated in Garhwal division of Himalayas from where the distance to Uttarkashi is 30 km in North and from this temple River Yamuna originates and for Hindus this river considered to be as Holy river and is dedicated to Goddess Yamuna. The distance of Yamunotri from Rishikesh is 200 km.

Weather Condition of Chota Char Dham Yatra:

The best time to visit this yatra is from May to October, but in recent times these sites are badly affected by heavy rains. In 2013 heavy rains some of these sites are adversely affected by cloud burst. After the month of October these sites are inaccessible to reach because of heavy snowfall in the month of December to february.

Helicopter Services available in Chota Char Dham Yatra:

These sites are also linked to availability of Helicopter services.  For Yamunotri, helicopter services can be booked from Sahastradhara in Dehradun till Kharsali, from where pilgrims need to take pony rides up till Yamunotri. For Gangotri, helicopter services can be booked from Kharsali to Harsil, from where Gangotri is just 30 km. drive away. Kedarnath and Badrinath can be reached through helicopter services available at Phata near Guptkashi.
