Q2. Where you travel and How long your Trip was and when you travel?

Reply: We are now living in China, so spend most of time travelling around China and Eastern Asia. We have previously travelled around North America, South East Asia, the Middle East and Europe. Some of my favourite places to visit have been Tokyo, Niagara Falls and Dubai.

Q3. How you reach there via trains, Air or road trip ?

Reply: I personally prefer to fly to most places. I have never been one for long overnight coaches and prefer to save and spend a bit more of flying. In China, there are load of really good options for train travel. Beijing to Xi’an bullet train takes just 4 hours and Beijing to Shanghai takes 5 hours.

Q4. Write brief description about the destination you visit?

Reply: We recently visited Xi’an, the oldest city in China. It is home to the Terracotta Warriors, the Ancient City Wall and a Muslim Quarter full of amazing food and treats. Our last trip was to Dubai and it was a place of surprises. I didn’t anticipate to enjoy it as much as I did, dune bashing in the desert was a highlight and exploring the skyscrapers and architecture of the city was great fun.

Q5. Places you visit with 3-4 photos of each place you visit?

Q6. Is there any adventure activity that you have done on trip?

Reply: In Dubai, we went dune bashing through the desert and it was amazing! We flew the drone over the vast sandy landscape and bumped around in a 4 by 4 across the desert.

Q7. Things you carry with your self on trip?

Reply: Because of our blog, we do NOT carry light. Generally, we carry a suitcase of clothes and essentials- sometimes a suitcase each depending on how long the trip is. For hand luggage, Calum carries a large backpack crammed full with his Canon 80D, various lenses, MacBook and DJI Spark. I also carry around my laptop, all the important documents and Imodium – an essential when travelling round Asia!

Q8. Highlight your travel experience in one paragraph about the place?

Reply: One of my favourite things to do when travelling is to try new foods. Since living in China, I have been fortunate to try food from around the world and live in a city full of amazing Korean, Japanese, Chinese and Thai restaurants. To me, travel is about exploring somewhere new and enjoying your time in a new place. Yes, I enjoy visiting those must see attractions but I equally love walking around neighbourhoods, getting lost and meeting the locals.

Q9. Any advice or suggestion you want to give to others about this place?

Reply: If you are visiting China, there is a few things to remember! Firstly, you must get a visa before arriving in the country – unless you are only visiting for 144 hours or less. April to October offers the best weather for visits, July and August are fiercely warm but November to February gets very cold in the North. There are so many amazing sights in China, so yes visit the Great Wall and Terracotta Warriors but also don’t forget to take the time and see the Leshan Buddha, the Panda Research Base in Chengdu, the Temple of Heaven in Beijing and take a cruise along the Yangtze River.
